I have always wanted to write books. I wrote my first book when I was eight: Krektonic,
an epic story about a gigantic fire-breathing monster that nearly destroys the world. My
grandmother recorded me reading it aloud. I still have the tape. Krektonic hasn't been
published yet, but some of my other books have. Click here to see two of my sources

My first pop-up book, the spine-tingling The Night of the Living Pop-Up Monsters, will be
published by Candlewick Press. The Night of the Living Pop-Up Monsters will be illustrated by
Randy Cecil.
What The Wind and The Rain Told Tom, a picture book biography of the 19th century
African-American musical prodigy Blind Tom, will be published by Lee & Low.
